Night Ticket £80.00 (Stockwoods & Mulsey Farm ONLY)Subscriptions to be paid on or before 1st April each year.
The Adult membership is limited to 400 persons, the night ticket is limited to 40 persons.
All new members must be proposed and agreed by the Society’s committee members. Members must have their membership card with them at all times and must be able to present their membership when asked by a bailiff or committee member. Additionally if arriving by car you must display your car parking ticket in your car.Cars must be parked in the designated areas as shown on the fishery maps.
Adult members may sponsor one person for £10.00 per day or £20 for £24 hours (Max. 4 per person). All guest tickets must first be obtained from the Membership Secretary or Match Secretary and produced on demand to the Society’s Bailiffs/Committee on all of the Society’s waters.
All members over the age of 16 must hold a current E.A rod licence and if fishing with more than 2 rods produce a 3 rod licence and comply with the bylaws. Children under 13 do not require a rod licence and those between 13-16 must obtain a free EA licence.
A committee shall be elected annually at the club AGM to transact business in connection and on behalf of the members of the Society.
No members are allowed to fish on the river in the statutory close season (15th March – 15th June inclusive) This includes the Canal, due to its proximity to the river.
No member shall take or transfer any fish from any of the society’s waters. All fish caught to be returned alive to the water. EA rules apply to the movement of fish.
Members are requested to keep to all footpaths and riverbanks and not walk across or damage crops, grasses in field and underwood. Please ensure to shut all gates. Camping or lighting of fires is strictly forbidden. Dogs are not allowed on the Society’s waters. Members must not leave rods or tackle unattended and keep within a reasonable distance of their rods at all times. All members are responsible for the removal of any litter in their swim regardless of origin. If you see litter, anywhere, pick it up and dispose of it correctly!
Leave Litter – Get Banned.
Night fishing is not allowed apart from at Stockwoods and Mulsey Farm, otherwise fishing is confined to the hours between sunrise and sunset.
Fishing must take place from pegged or permanent swims only except for the rivers
Keepnets. Unless fishing in an organised match we strongly suggest not using a keepnet. If using a keepnet then only nets with Polymesh, micromesh or rubber – net mesh with a minimum length of 2.5 metres are permitted on club waters. All carp caught outside of a match must be returned immediately to the water. Unhooking mats or cradles must be used for Carp and are recommended for all larger fish.
Any diseased or dead fish or damage to the fisheries must be reported to a committee member or bailiff ASAP
Members have the right to challenge any person fishing on our waters but please avoaid angry confrontation. State calmly that this is a private fishery for paying members only. If non-compliant please report the matter to the committee or bailiff.
Hooks sizes 16 and smaller (16,18,20’s etc) may be micro barbed . Any hook larger than 16 must be barbless .
Please note that any infringement of the above rules may result in dismissal from the society.
Pike and Predator Rules
PIKE AND PREDATOR FISHING.
To protect Pike and Perch in Society Waters, a number of special Bye-Laws have been drawn up to cover Pike and Perch Fishing. These are:
Suitable equipment must include:- • Monofilament main line must have a minimum breaking strain of 15lb. Braided main Line must have a minimum breaking strain of 50lb. Line must be strong enough to straighten snagged hooks.
Traces made of nylon covered wire, unless stainless steel, are forbidden. These must be a minimum length of 24in (60cm) and no less than 25lb breaking strain.
Large knotless landing net with a minimum of 36in long arms.
Large unhooking mat.
8 or 12 inch long artery forceps.
Strong side cutters must be able to cut problem hooks caught in the soft throat tissue, gill rakers and nets.An adequate Carp/Pike weigh sling. • A sensitive and effective bite detector system that must be able to show “drop backs” as well as runs.• No more than 2 treble hooks may be used on any one trace and they must be semi-barbless or barbless.• All plugs or spinners must be barbless. • Fishing for Pike with live or dead baits and any form of lure (including fly fishing) is only permitted from 1st October until 14th March in any Society Water. NO SUMMER PIKE FISHING!• When Perch fishing with live or dead baits or lure fishing, a wire trace must be used if fishing a water containing Pike.
Infringement of the above rules will result in immediate dismissal from the society. No refund will be given.
