jubilee fields lake
This ‘town’ lake was constructed a few years ago as part of the expansion of the village of Billingshurst.
It is designed to have easy access for our younger members and disabled anglers. The fish stocks include Carp, Roach, Tench, Crucian Carp, Gudgeon and a lot of Goldfish that have found their way in there. The Rudd have grown especially well and fish to 1lb 8oz have already been caught.
There are some surprisingly large Carp in this small water.
No Night Fishing is allowed on this water.
Musley Farm or ASH Lake
A cracking venue that is an excellent match and pleasure water. In addition to good head of Carp and skimmer Bream there are specimen Perch and Eels.
Billingshurst AS have an ongoing stocking program for this lake with some good-sized bream already introduced.
This is a lovely water to fish, well established trees, reed beds, an abundance of lilies and a lot of beautiful wildflowers make being on the bank a pleasure during the summer months.
Night Fishing is allowed on this venue to all members with a Night Permit.
Oakhurst to Bignor
A tranquil and mature section of the River Arun offering Bream to 6lb, Chub to 4lb and a large population of silver fish.
Large Carp and Pike also populate this stretch and can offer fine rewards to the Anglers willing to put in the effort.
Lee Place
This beautiful and secluded section of the river is one of the best non-tidal sections of the River Arun. It has produced record match weights to over 65lb for club members. It has a large number of Bream as well as specimen Roach, Chub and Dace.
Exceptionally good Chub fishing on this stretch with fish to over 4lbs and multiple catches possible. The Carp and Pike both grow to 20lb+
Good parking is available at several points close to the river.
Lordings Lock
This section of the River Arun changes regularly in character with deep gliding bends as well as aqueducts and water wheels! It has produced large Chub, Bream to 6lbs, Roach to well over 2lb. It also contains big Pike, Tench and double figure Carp and can offer some of the best river fishing in this part of Sussex.
Rowner Mill to Wonderful Bridge
This section of the River Arun has a fabulous mill pool as well as several deep gentle meanders.
Once again, a good head of large river pike with Roach to 2lb, Carp to double figures and Bream to well over 7lb. This section also has a stretch of the Wey and Arun Canal which boasts a particularly good head of Bream and Tench as well as Carp to double figures.
Shillinglee Lake
Our lake at Shillinglee is close to the village of Northchapel. It is a stunning 4-acre estate type lake which is also a wildlife haven. The lake goes from 4 feet at the road end to 14 feet at the dam end.
Wonderful fishing for both the pleasure angler and specimen hunter, a large head of Bream is present with fish to over 10lbs, Roach to over 2lbs, large Perch, Rudd and Eels.
The Tench fishing is very good with fish to over 6lbs being caught every season, the club has stocked a good head of small Tench to ensure that good sport will be had for years to come.
Shillinglee also contains Pike, it has produced 20lb Pike in the past but is very much an unknown quantity at present and could throw up a surprise or two.
This is our main water for anglers wishing to target the Carp, it contains fish to over 30lbs, Commons and Mirrors. The club has also in recent years introduced some hand-picked stunning Carp to supplement the existing stocks. By no means an easy carp water but the rewards are there.
Night Fishing is allowed on this venue to all members with a Night Permit.
weir wood reservoir
Day Fishing is available to Club Members on this large reservoir, just go to the Fishing Lodge on arrival.
Weir Wood reservoir is a 280-acre water located in the Sussex Weald near the village of Forest Row next to Ashdown Forest. It offers beautiful views and secluded areas.
The reservoir stocks a wide range of fish including Pike, Mirror Carp, Common Carp, Bream, Roach, Perch, Rudd and Eels.
Open all year round with no closed season. Fishing open from 7:30am till dusk.
Wey & Arun Canal, Newbridge
Approx 1 mile of canal that the club has put a lot of work into restoring and stocking, fish stocks include Roach, Perch, Tench, Pike, Eels and Carp, very underfished and could throw up some surprises as the fish move between this and the Arun due to flooding in Winter
