Shillinglee Lake
Our lake at Shillinglee is
close to the village of Northchapel. It is a stunning 4 acre estate type
lake which is also a wildlife haven. The lake goes from 4 feet at the road
end to 14 feet at the dam end. This is our prime Tench water and it has
produced fish to 9lb 14 oz in recent years with many 7lb and 8lb fish
being caught each season. It also contains pristine mirror and common carp
to 40lb that have been in the lake as far back as records go. It holds a
very good head of quality Bream that run close to double figures, as well
as quality Roach and Rudd. The lake has a large head of Pike to 25lb.
